Dear Editor,rnParkinson\'s disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disease in the elderly [1,2].PD affects 1%-2% of the world\'s population older than 65 years [3-5].In recent years,large-scale genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have been widely conducted to identify the common genetic risk genes for PD.A number of PD susceptibility genes have been identified,including SNCA,MAPT,NUCKS1,the HLA region,GAK,BST1,GBA,WNT3,RIT2,and LRRK2 [3-5].
