吴雪同志:看了您的“对舞台美术家的希望”一文(戏剧报一九五七年第三期),很有感触,您的文章虽然很短,但确实接触了不少问题。以前我看了什么文章以后,总有许多感想,可是做了几年舞台美术家以后,竟磨炼得火气全消。没有想到您的好心竟激动了我,不得不告诉您一些我的切身感受。您的文章指责了近年来我国舞台美术创作中的自然主义倾向,达种指责是对的。解放以后,舞台美术家们和其他的戏剧家们一样的深入了生活,深入了斗争,在舞台上做出了很多可喜的成绩。但也有相当多数的舞台美术家还不了解深入生活
Comrade Wu Xue: Having read your article entitled “Hope for the Stage Artist” (The Drama Festival, Issue 3, 1957), I feel very touching. Although your essay is short, it has indeed touched a lot of questions. After I read what articles, there are always many feelings, but after doing a few years stage artist, actually tempered all the anger.
