Knee Power Generation British researchers have recently developed a new type of power generation device that uses the activity of the knees while people are walking to power their portable electronic devices. The prototype device currently being developed has a power output of about 2 milliwatts, and can be upgraded to more than 30 milliwatts, enough to power electronic devices such as heart rate monitors and electronic pedometers. If practical in the future
