`红珍珠’由中国农业科学院特产研究所从野生北五味子中选育而成. 2000年 4月通过吉林省农作物品种审定委员会审定.果穗平均重 12.5g,果粒近圆形,平均重 0.6g,成熟果深红色,有柠檬香气,总糖 2.74%,总酸 5.87%, Vc18.4mg/100g(鲜果 ),出汁率 54.5%,适于药用、酿酒或制汁; 3~ 5年生树平均株产分别为 0.50kg、 1.30kg、 2.20Kg,丰产性强,适宜在无霜期 120d、 10℃年活动积温 2, 300℃以上的地区大面积栽培.
