February 22, the Indian government announced the country’s semiconductor industry investment incentives program. Under this program, semiconductor companies investing in the Indian SEZs can enjoy a 20% discount on subsidies for their costs within 10 years, as well as other incentives. In the coming 10 years, India will give them a 25% discount in the cost of semiconductor companies located outside the SAR. Among them, the government subsidies will be tax relief and interest-free loans in the form of implementation. This policy is also applicable to semiconductor-related projects such as nano-scale, solar cell, display industry and others. The Indian government has set a minimum investment limit, of which about $ 568 million for semiconductor product manufacturing projects and about $ 227 million for other product projects.
