From December 1 to December 2, 2015, a national literary press conference hosted by the Chinese Writers’ Association and hosted by the Chinese Writers Publishing Group was held in Beijing. The National Literature and Press Union was formally declared to be established and the first alliance organization was formed according to the Articles of Association. Qian Xiaoqian, party secretary and vice chairman of the Chinese Writers Association, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Liu Jiansheng, inspector of the Publicity Department of the Central Propaganda Department and Li Jun, director of the Press and Publication Division of the State Administration of Press and Publication, State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, attended and addressed the speech.
