我國野生植物资源極其丰富。以野生植物淀粉及醣类原料來说,目前已發现可供利用的品种有100余种,共中大部份能造酒和提制酒精,有的能制糖和代替面粉浆紗、做糕点、醬油、醬料,有的还能提煉出貴重的藥品和染料等。这些野生植物原料,產地過及全國山区和部份平原地帶,年產量估計在80億斤以上。1958年計划收購各种野生淀粉和醣类
