在人类跨入新的世纪之际,一项全新的网络化科技信息服务将奉现给中国的厂大科技工作者。由国家科技图书文献中心组织建设的国家科技文献资源网络服务系统(以下科称网络服务系统)将于2000年底正式工通,向全国,乃至世界各国的用户提供文献检索和全文提供服务。该系统的开通将在很大程度上缓解厂大科技工作者查询文献和获取原文文献的不便,在中国科技文献信息服务体系建设的蓝图上画上浓墨重彩的一笔。系统开通的重要意义不仅在于为用户提供一种新的网络化的信息服务途径,而且在于这一事实标志着中国最大的信息资源共建共享项目取得了丰硕的成果。
As mankind steps into the new century, a brand new network of science and technology information services will be revealed to China’s large factory workers. The National Science and Technology Literature Resource Network Service System (hereinafter referred to as Network Service System), which is organized by the National Science and Technology Books Document Center, will be formally opened at the end of 2000 to provide document retrieval and full-text services to users in China and even in the rest of the world. The opening of the system will largely ease the inconveniences of the large scientific and technological workers in querying and obtaining original documents, drawing a solid note on the blueprint for the construction of China’s scientific and technical literature information service system. The significance of the system opening is not only to provide users with a new network of information services, but also because of the fact that China’s largest information resources co-construction project has achieved fruitful results.
