这一类矿床矿化受层间氧化后生分带的控制,以前一直认为这类矿化是同生作用造成,勘探实践证明,最有效的找矿依据是层间氧化带的存在,而不是有利的岩相,矿体则位于带的尖灭部位。目前已知这类矿床分布在许多地方,如美国怀俄明盆地以及达科塔西 The mineralization of this type of deposit is controlled by the zonation of strata after interlayer oxidation.
