Long Island, also known as Temple Islands, Shandong Province is the only island county. At present, Long Island is at a critical period of transition from a traditional fishing county to an ecotourism resort island, and it urgently needs scientific and efficient institutional mechanisms to provide strong support. Focusing on innovating the institutional mechanisms for Long Island and accelerating its transformation and development, we conducted an in-depth study and learned about some of the advanced island regions’ experiences and practices, studied them carefully and further clarified the basic ideas for promoting the innovation of the management system and mechanism in Long Island.
