大洋板块的俯冲消减形成了各种弧状构造,而这些构造之所以成为弧形的原田,长期以来存在着多种解释。本文从地球球面和俯冲板块之间的几何关系(主要是俯冲角的大小和海沟形态的变化)出发,提出几个解析模式,并将解析结果同实际资料对比,初步揭示了地球球面和俯冲板块之间的几何关系是这些弧形构造形态的主要控制因素,并据此对俯冲带几何性质作了进一步的研究。这对板块学说无疑是一种佐证和补充。
