《古汉语常用字字典》第4版于2005年7月由商务印书馆出版。这本字典 1979年初版,是著名语言学家、北京大学中文系教授王力、岑麒祥、林焘等一批语言学家编写的。由于释义权威、审音准确、例句精当、难懂例句附有注解和串讲、设有“注意”“辨析”等特点,字典出版后即受到广大读者的欢迎和好评,成为学习古汉语的必备工具书。目前已印刷60余次,发行量达1000余万册。第2版在 The Dictionary of Ancient Chinese Dictionaries, 4th edition, was published by the Commercial Press in July 2005.
