It seems a common sense to speak of mathematics as beautiful. Mathematicians often satisfied and happy with what they did. They often claim that theorems, proofs, methods, and even theories can be elegant and beautiful. Similarly, it is common sense to say that genius exists among mathematicians. However, Kant changed opinion on both issues. Until the 1880s, we also found that he accepted the role of beauty and genius in mathematics. But then he seemed to change his mind.
