Goldfinch won the Pulitzer Prize in the United States in 2014. The novel tells the story of what happened between a 14-year-old American teenager, Decker, and a world famous painting called Goldfinch. Relying on the realistic problems of contemporary American society such as terrorist attacks, family moral decay and solitary suffering youth, the author explains the theme of memory and writing, family ethics and youth growth in the novel from a multidimensional perspective At the same time, it profoundly analyzes and interprets the transcendence and redemption of life, the characterization of humanity and ethics, with a view to further broaden the space and vision of contemporary American literature.
