5日,保加利亚共产党中央总书记、国务委员会主席托·日夫科夫应中共中央代理总书记赵紫阳和国家主席李先念的邀请,来华进行正式友好访问。赵紫阳在和日夫科夫会谈时指出,他的来访是两国关系中的一件大事,标志着中保关系已进入一个新的时期。邓小平在会见日夫科夫时说,我们的态度是,过去的事结束了,一切向前看。
