苎麻是我国特产,也是重要的纺织纤维原料。它是花器官极小的常异交作物,又是靠无性繁殖的多年生宿根作物,因此苎麻的有性杂交育种十分困难,历史上都是靠选择优良植株育成品种,并通过无性繁殖扩大种植和保持其纯度的。为了打破苎麻育种上的这种被动、落后的局面,我们用花培技术探讨苎麻单倍体育种的可能性,以育成纯合的高产、优质、抗性好的新品种,并在隔离条件下生产纯度高的良种种子,供生产上迅速推广之用,从而革新现有的苎麻育种和繁殖方法,为快速有效地育成优良品种开辟一条新途径。
