Vertical Farms is a concept of economic and environmental friendliness that refers to planting plants and raising animals on the vertical surfaces of tall buildings or sloped buildings. The earliest examples of vertical farms emerged in the early 1950s, and the earliest experimental paradigm appeared in John Hix’s representative article, The GlassHouse. Described in 1999 by Columbia Ecstasy, the American ecologist put forward the concept of “vertical farm”. He strongly advocated the use of advanced greenhouse techniques (such as hydroponics and empty planting) to plant large numbers of plants and raise animals in skyscrapers, Such as raising poultry, planting fruits and vegetables. He believes that the benefits of vertical farms in airtight, airtight artificial environments are that they do not have to worry about their surroundings. However, this is not an effective way to conserve energy because the internal environment of the building must be kept to meet any conditions necessary to sustain life.
