《献给艾米丽的一朵玫瑰》和《被遗弃的韦瑟罗尔奶奶》分别是美国20世纪小说家威廉·福克纳和凯瑟琳·安·波特的优秀短篇小说代表作之一。本文试对比分析两部小说中的女性人物形象以及人物塑造手法的异同,以探讨作家创作手法的多样性和艺术性。
“A Rose for Emily” and “An Abandoned Wetrose” are respectively excellent short stories by the 20th century American novelists William Faulkner and Kathleen Ann Potter. This paper tries to compare and analyze the similarities and differences between female characters and characters in two novels, in order to explore the diversity and artistry of the writer’s writing techniques.
