在中国古代史学思想发展史上,历代史家对于史学的“求真”与“致用”以及二者之间的关系,都有自己的理解和认识。为了推进关于中国古代史学“求真”与“致用”问题的思考,以期揭示中国古代史学思想发展的特点,我们邀请了六位学者就此问题发表见解。许殿才认为,“求真”是中国古代史学的根本要求,而“致用”则是中国古代史学的主要动机,二者是一种既对立又统一的关系。汪高鑫认为,汉代史学“求真”与“致用”的思想倾向不尽相同,司马迁的“实录”精神与班固的“宣汉”意识,便是代表了汉代史学思潮的两种取向。李传印认为,魏晋南北朝史学的经世致用呈现出了重视人生价值、资政鉴戒和社会教化的特点,然而政治对史学的过分要求也在一定程度上导致了曲笔泛滥。牛润珍认为,从唐初贞观君臣论政来看,史鉴在“求真”与“致用”之间,求真、史鉴、致用是一个有机的联系。罗炳良认为,宋元义理史学有讲究“求真”的一面,能够适当处理议论褒贬与历史事实之间的关系,注意把握“致用”与“求真”的相互制衡维度。周文玖认为,明清之际实学思潮的兴起,学者们立场鲜明地举起了经世致用的旗帜,力反明末的空疏学风,在史学的“求真”与“致用”上达到了高度的统一。以上刊出他们的具体论述,期望学界参与讨论。
In the history of the development of ancient Chinese historiography, historians of all ages have their own understanding and understanding of “truth ” and “use ” of history and the relationship between the two. According to Li Chuan-yin, historians in the Wei, Jin, Northern and Southern Dynasties have shown the characteristics of life value, political reference, and socialization. However, excessive political demands on historiography have also led to the proliferation of music. According to Niu Run-chen, judging from Zhenguan monarchy on the Tang dynasty, Shi Jian is an organic link between “seeking truth” and “applying” truth-seeking, historical experience and practical use. Luo Bingliang believes that the Song and Yuan Dynasties of Yi historiography pay attention to “truth ” side, be able to appropriately deal with the relationship between the commentary and derogatory and historical facts, pay attention to grasp the “checks and balances” and “truth” .
