随着贵州高校公共体育课程改革的不断发展和深入推进,将独具地方特色的少数民族体育引进课堂教学,是与时俱进、逐渐深化高校课程改革与发展的需要。本文运用了问卷调查法、访谈法和数理统计法等研究方法,主要从课程的设置情况、学生的参与兴趣、主观体验、任课教师情况、学生对场地器材的满意度、教学评价等方面,对少数民族体育选项课的教学实践进行了分析、探讨。结果显示：安顺学院实施大学公共体育课程改革以后,课堂的教学效果和学生上课练习的积极性都有了很大的提高,多数学生都比较喜欢少数民族选项课中的押加、高脚竞速、陀螺、板鞋竞速等
