Karst water inrush is one of the common geological disasters in the engineering construction of tunnels and mines in mountainous areas. A tunnel construction project is a deep-buried karst tunnel. Most of the tunnel passes through the carbonate rock area, and local weak sandwiches are formed. The complexity of geological conditions and construction are more difficult. By analyzing the engineering examples and combining with the geological conditions, a vertical geological model with the excavation surface as the tunnel boundary is established. Then the numerical modeling and simulation are conducted by using the FLAC program, and a formation, development and occurrence of karst water inrush are obtained The preliminary reveal of the law and characteristics of karst water inrush from the tunnel is of great significance to engineering construction under similar geological conditions.
