At least 30 million orange trees in Brazil have died of the disease since Brazil discovered the sudden death of the citrus (SDD) in 1999. In the past, SDDs were believed to infiltrate only the sweet orange tree that uses rambutan as a rootstock, but researchers at the Brazilian Citrus Phytosanitary Trust currently detect the disease on saplings that are made of volkameriano as a rootstock. Before people thought that this lemon can be resistant to this disease. -bar
