On December 20, Premier Zhu Rongji signed the State Council Order promulgating the “Decision of the State Council on Amending the Regulations on the Administration of Travel Agencies” and the “Provisions on the Administration of Foreign-funded Telecommunication Enterprises”. This decision and regulation came into effect on January 1, 2002. On December 23, Premier Zhu Ji signed the order of the State Council promulgating the “Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on the Administration of Foreign-funded Insurance Companies”.
