由戴克景观事务所设计的西岛公园(island-West)是新建成的布洛胡佛区的社区公园。场地基址是一片地形起伏的草地,几棵乔木散落其间。虽然是一处新建公园,但这里有一些较老的匈牙利橡树和椴树。在公园建设期间,这些老树被移植到一旁,建成后又重新栽植到公园里。公园道路系统像是流动的胶状液体,与公园的所有出入口相接并包裹着运动场和游戏场。这种道路形态符合场地需求同时妙趣横生。场地上原有的环形跑道被保留下来,改造后的新跑道与设计融于一体,环绕运动场和游戏场,成为跑步和滑旱冰的路径。旱冰设施和游戏设施由荷兰卡韦设计公
Island-West, designed by Dyke Landscape Architects, is a newly built community park in the Blough. Site site is a terrain undulating lawn, a few trees scattered in the meantime. Although it is a new park, there are some older Hungarian oaks and lime trees. During the construction of the park, the old trees were transplanted to the park, and then planted and re-planted in the park. The park road system resembles a flowing, colloidal liquid that interfaces with all the park’s entrances and laps and encases playgrounds and playgrounds. The original circular runway on the site was preserved and the new runway was transformed into a design that encircled the playground and play field as a path to running and roller-skating.
