In this paper, high-performance liquid chromatography was used to determine the hydroquinone and phenol in 16 types of freckle cosmetics. The method is simple, high sensitivity, good repeatability, recovery rate 99% to 102%, correlation coefficient r=09995, coefficient of variation 0 9～16%, Satisfactory determination results, this method is the preferred method for the determination of hydroquinone and phenol in cosmetics
