1998年的第13届亚洲运动会是本世纪亚洲体坛最后一次大角逐。每一个国家都希望寻求一种动力,以辉煌的成就告别过去,以崭新的姿态投入新世纪的怀抱。历史老人告诉人们:大型体育盛会便是这种动力之一。于是,1998年的亚运会便成为许多亚洲国家争夺的目标。
The 13th Asian Games in 1998 is the last big competition for Asian sports in this century. Every country wants to find a motive force to bid farewell to the past with brilliant achievements and to devote itself into the embrace of the new century with a brand-new attitude. History old people tell people: large-scale sports event is one such motivation. As a result, the 1998 Asian Games has become the target of many Asian countries.
