With the optimization and improvement of instruments, micro-invasive endoscopic technique has further developed, single-hole laparoscopic surgery (LESS) came into being. Because of the specificity of the single-hole channel, surgery is more complicated than standard laparoscopic surgery, learning curve longer, the need for more skilled laparoscopic surgery to carry out. In May 2014, a 68-year-old male patient was diagnosed with bladder cancer due to hematuria to the urology department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University. The team led by Dr. Zhu Yuchun decided to apply innovative surgical methods to perform the complete bladder resection + ileal neobladder via the umbilicus “single hole” laparoscopy.
