As a prerequisite for the biochemical identification of offshore zoant fish populations in China, this paper explores the variation of several biochemical indicators within species and the magnitude of variation between similar species. Materials collected from individual octopus were collected in Zhoushan off the coast of Zhejiang in May 1980; other materials were collected from Beitang, Hebei, Changshan Island, Shandong, Qingdao, Shanghai Nanhui, Sansha and Hainan Island from 1976 to 1981 .
