吐哈油田自动化事业的兴起、发展及成功得益于总公司“两新两高”的方针，在几年的建设与应用实践中吐哈油田组织培养出了一支能独立进行技术开发、安装调试、操作维护的专业技术队伍，建立了一套符合油田实际的管理机构和各种规章制度，积累了丰富的实践经验，走出了一条具有自己特色的建设油田自动化系统的新路子，特别是对现场仪表性能及维护取得了较全面的认识。
