几百年来,观赏性一直是戏曲赖以生存的最重要因素。观众走进剧场主要是看戏听曲,抱着娱乐心态而来,不是来听报告、受教育的。因此,好看、好听、好玩始终是戏曲的主旨。上世纪八、九十年代,许多政治色彩浓、功利性强、毫无情趣的说教戏一哄而上,将戏曲拖入怪圈,领导专家叫好的戏观众不看,观众爱看的戏领导专家不看。进入新世纪后,文化艺术的主管部门将观赏性提到艺术性、思想性之前,完全符合戏曲这个大众艺术的发展规律。观赏性所含元素甚多,“情趣”二字
