Amoco and its Chinese partners negotiated with the National Development Bank in Zhuhai, China on the financing of the first phase of the 250,000 t/a PTA joint venture project. The estimated loan of 300 to 40 million U.S. dollars will be finalized later this year. The $300 million PTA project will be completed in late 1999 or early ZOOO. China is Fuhua Group and China Chemical Fiber Company. They each hold 15%
