展览、大赛的频繁举办为促进书法的繁荣发展,有着功不可没的促进作用。然而,由此所对应的书法批评的缺席和不力,却未能发挥应有的导向功能,当前的书法批评与创作的繁荣景象显得极不相称。一些批评文章,也是说得不痛不痒。要么是套用古人品藻的方法,说着些不伤筋骨的话;要么是照搬西方的理论,写得玄奥难懂,让人读后一头雾水,不知所云;也有的用词犀利尖酸刻薄,甚至伤及批评对象的人格等,总难尽如人意。那么,我们需要什么样的批评?呼唤“理论的真诚”的时代,我们必须应该进行深入的思考。
