A retrospective cohort study was conducted to investigate the health status of 145 workers who had long-term exposure to laser and 53 teachers who were teachers. The main contact with CO2 laser exposure, daily contact with 6 to 8 hours. The investigation showed that the incidences of macular degeneration and macular degeneration were significantly higher in the laser-exposed group than those in the control group, mainly in the nervous system of the laser exposure group, symptoms of ocular fatigue, opacity and turbidity of the ophthalmic lens. It is therefore proposed that personal protection and regular occupational health monitoring of laser operators are of considerable importance.
