At a time when many ports in the world are suffering from excess capacity, the Gulf region is booming or under construction, from Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, UAE to Umm Qasr in Iraq. According to statistics, in the next five years, all member nations of the Gulf Cooperation Council will spend more than 15 billion U.S. dollars on port construction. These investments are mainly used for the construction of logistics supply chain and will play a positive role in promoting the level of trade in the Gulf region. The Gulf ports are not only important hubs in the Middle East, North Africa, East Africa and the Indian subcontinent, serving up to 2 billion people in the market but also Gulf States
