王龙溪、罗近溪都主张良知现成、不学不虑而自得 ,对卓吾“童心说”的影响至为明显。近溪赤子良心之论是“童心说”的直接理论源头。近溪贵身与卓吾论“私”意蕴相通。龙溪多讲先天正心 ,对道德的正面阐论并不多见 ,对传统道德理念的突破正是卓吾所要关注的理论重点。龙溪与卓吾在性情及文论方面亦更多应合。卓吾与二溪亦有区别 :童心但证其“真” ,而不究其仁 ,二溪着意于真与仁的结合 ;卓吾之“私”是一己之“私” ,近溪所论 ,是大我与个我的结合。
