The trend in deinked pulp production is to increase efficiency by reducing energy consumption and simplifying the deinking process. However, in view of the pressure of environmental protection and economic benefits and the improvement of the quality requirements of final products, the manufacturing process of deinked pulp has become more complicated and the cost of products has been continuously increased. Deinking pulp production based on fiber fractionation (screening of deinked pulp fibers into long fiber fractions and staple fiber fractions) may be a way to improve paper quality and increase the cost efficiency of the deinking pulp production process. The study determined the optical properties of the fibers in the recycled fiber pulp by measuring the whiteness, ink and ash content of the long and short fiber fractions; the performance of the fiber fraction was characterized by throughput and selectivity. The research shows that before deinking waste paper, the fibers are first classified by pressure sieve, and then only the short fiber fraction is flotation, the long fiber fraction is separated, which can be reduced compared with the traditional deinking pulp production process Energy consumption and chemical consumption.
