蜗轮根切线是设计蜗轮滚刀、铣制蜗轮以及进行蜗杆传动的有关计算时,必须考虑的一个因素.但是由于它涉及到复杂的啮合几何学及难度较大的数值计算,一直是近似地估算,远不能满足生产实践和对蜗杆传动作进一步研究的需要.锥面包络蜗杆(亦即 ZK 蜗杆)传动,是生产实践中应用最广泛的一种蜗杆传动.本文提供了一个求解锥面包络蜗杆传动的蜗轮根切线的数值计算方法.依据本方法编制的电子计算机程序,只要将蜗杆副的基本参数(如齿数、模数、压力角等)输入,即可求出蜗轮根切线在蜗轮及蜗轮滚刀上的具体位置.本文所述方法的基本原理,适于其他类型的蜗杆传动.
