新中国成立后,夏衍任文化部副部长,主管电影工作。他的电影思考最终聚焦在两点:如何在保持党的思想原则的基础上提高票房价值,如何以艺术的手段而不是借助行政命令将观众吸引到电影院里来。
After the founding of new China, Xia Yan was appointed vice minister of culture, in charge of film work. His film thinking ultimately focuses on two points: how to raise the box office value on the basis of upholding the party’s ideological principles; and how to attract audiences to the cinema by artistic means rather than by administrative order.
