中国刑警学院文件检验专业方向的前身是公安部民警干校文检专业。1981年学院成立后归属四系(文照系)正式确定为本科专业。1998年专业合并,变为刑事技术系文检专业方向。经过多年的发展,现下设笔迹检验、言语识别、印刷文件检验、污损文件检验、文检学、文件检验6个课程组。主要培养文件物证鉴定方向的高级专门人才。文检专业现有教师18人,其中教授4人,副教授5人,高级实验师1人,讲师5人,实验师1人,助教2人;
