自杂交水稻问世以来,为确保花期相遇良好,常采用两、三期父本。在制种技术已成熟的今天,两、三期父本就显得花期拉得过长,花粉浪费太多,不利于制种产量的进一步提高。1986年,我们提出一期父本制种的设想。经过试验,示范和推广,四年来一致反映效果很好。它不仅简化了制种程序,节省了劳力、投资,而且花期相遇更好。同时增加了花粉密度,提高了结实率,减少了稻粒黑粉病,显著地增加了制种产量,已成为我县夺取制种丰产的一项优质高产低耗措施。

At the same time, the pollen density is increased, the seed setting rate is increased, the powdery mildew of rice grains is reduced, the seed production is remarkably increased, and a high-quality, high-yield, low-consumption measure for seizing high yield of seed production has been established in our county.
