唐宋时期的敦煌地区,醋的品类众多,名称各异,其中麦醋是药用醋的主流。它在古医方中临床应用很普遍,医方中使用的各种称谓,是不同历史时期或者同一历史时期的不同习惯表述,从不同侧面来诠释其品性和文化特征。其中部分名称已游离出南北朝时期醋所界定的概念范围。个别名称被后世误判,缘于它自身的佚失及其在实践中被广泛取代等因素。 Dunhuang region in the Tang and Song Dynasties, vinegar variety, name varies, including wheat vinegar is the mainstream of medicinal vinegar.
