据《中国果树》2013年第3期《矮化中间砧对华红苹果致矮机理初探》(作者李海燕等)报道,为了更快地实现华红矮化集约栽培,试验从矮化中间砧对华红苹果幼树生长势和光合生理特性等影响的角度出发,初探了辽砧2号、SH40和SH38中间砧对华红苹果的致矮机理。试验研究了不同矮化中间砧对3年生华红苹果树生长势和叶片POD活性、IOD活性、可溶性糖含量、比叶重及净光合速率的影响。结果表明,不同矮化中间砧华红树体生长势依次为:SH38
