台湾是我国东南海疆上的一个宝岛,拥有优良的天然港湾,具有发展造船工业和海运事业的有利条件。造船据“台湾总览”1981年版资料,台湾现有官办造船企业2家,即“中国造船公司”和“台湾机械公司”;民营造船企业136家,其中造船年产量在1000吨以下的18家,1000、～3000吨的113家,3000～6000吨的5家。民营企业中,有些船厂专门建造游艇以供出口,有些船厂的主要产品是捕鱼船,吨位数在250吨左右,可到太平洋和大西洋作业。台湾主要造船企业的概况如下表所示: Taiwan is a treasure island on the southeast coast of China with an excellent natural harbor and favorable conditions for the development of the shipbuilding industry and shipping industry. Some of the shipyards’ main products are fishing vessels, with tonnage of around 250 tons and can be deployed to the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.
