On September 27, 2008, China Africa Association for the Peoples’ Friendship (hereinafter referred to as “China-Africa Friendship Association”) and China Society for African Studies jointly organized a seminar on “China-Africa economic and trade cooperation --- how to develop the African market.” Some 40 members from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture, the Institute of West Asia and African Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the China-Africa Friendship Association and the China African Studies Society attended the meeting.
