The traditional way of teaching dance restrains students ’imagination and creativity. Students hardly have the space to play themselves. They only imitate teachers’ actions and can not create their own dance works. Therefore, the development of students is severely restricted. The use of multimedia technology to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of students to enhance students’ understanding and memory of dance, dance teaching is of great help. This article will discuss the application advantages and application status of multimedia technology in dance teaching and put forward corresponding improvement strategies to improve the practical value of multimedia technology in dance teaching.
