In the intellectual world of continental Europe, the ethics of memory has become a crucial part. The discussions around the Berlin Holocaust memorial aroused much thought. The construction of this spectacular site has been difficult to construct: some proposed construction in 1988, a proposal to build near the Brandenburg Gate in 1992 and a memorial design competition in 1994, which resulted in the contest being rejected by the Federal Chancellor And in 1997, the design plan was re-called and in 2005 it finally broke ground. There are many ethical issues involved in the debate, among which the key questions are: Do you want to build a memorial? Who determines? How much? Who should be represented? Who should? Who is the spokesman? What are the messages to convey? The question leads us forward in memory ethics and toward Auschwitz
