针对我国引起水土流失的因素已发生变化和人们对生态环境质量的要求不断提高等现实,从面向生产实践、学以致用和提高课程教学质量出发,对“水土保持工程学”课程的教学内容、教材、教学方法和实践教学的改革进行了探索,提出“水土保持工程学”课程仍应是水土保持与荒漠化防治专业的骨干专业课;课程的教学内容在兼顾流域治理措施的同时,应适度向水土流失防治措施倾斜,并注重实际应用以及介绍最新的方法和技术;课程的教材应突出难点(详细介绍)和“新”的特点,同时还需注意工程措施与其他措施的协调与衔接;课程的教学方法改革,应将传统的教学方法与现代多媒体教学手段相结合,把握好讲课的节奏,保持学生与教师的思维同步;课程的实践教学应与理论教学相融合,在具体的安排上,应该是初步认识实习在先,课程设计与授课内容基本同步,并在教学实习结束后再次进行课程设计的修改。
