近来,由中国一档馆与扬州档案局编辑、广陵书社出版的《清宫扬州御档》,为学术界研究扬州提供了丰富的原始资料。尽管现存的“清宫扬州御档”并不完整,部分档案卷宗或文字有残缺遗漏,偶尔也有次序编排的错乱等(其中一些是故宫档案自身的问题),但是它毕竟为研究扬州历史、扬州盐商等,提供了许多翔实而又可贵的第一手依据。本辑抄录《清宫扬州御档》中道光初期有关扬州盐商黄潆泰的九份档案,分别加以整理、分段、标点,并对其中残缺和错乱略加说明,为读者专题研究黄氏家族史和两淮盐业史提供便利。
