Mr. Lo’s attitude toward the young teachers and his gracious affinities makes us respectable as respectable and dear elders. One summer year approaching, Mr. Lo learned that we had to return to Yantai to see the elderly. He asked us to take photos of Penglai Pavilion and Watertown for him. According to Mr. Lu’s detailed requirements, we take a very good few photos at each point. After selection, Mr. Lu was given his satisfaction and continued thanks, and we are very sorry. A few days later, Mr. Lu returned to us and sent us two pieces of “Penglai Nostalgia” and “Four Firsts of Yantai”, a dozen pen and hand-written poems. We are treasured, preserved so far. Recalling the past, compared to the present, trustees, gifts and guests become a universal social ethos, but Mr. Lo is a poet. This incident made us feel about Mr. Lu’s noble character and bright sentiments and felt the profound affection of his mentor as a friend.
