北京奥运带动草坪业发展国内20所高校设草业专业随着2008年北京奥运会和2010年上海世界博览会的临近,中国草坪业将迎来新一轮的大发展。据北京林业大学草坪研究所负责人介绍,目前草坪基本上已经在全国城市园林绿化、运动场建设中普及应用,从事草坪或草坪相关关产业的企业已经飞速发展到5000余家。草坪业的发展相继带动了国内相关教育学科的发展。目前全国已有近20所大专院校设立了草业专业,北京林业大学等高校还开设了城市草坪和高尔夫球场草坪专业方向,课程从过去单一的草坪拓展到了牧草、园林、高尔夫经营、草坪管理等多方面。最近几年国家863项目、奥运专项、植物转基因专项和国家重大科技攻关项目都设立了草坪科研项目,在某些领域如北京林业大学的草坪草转基因研究已经与世界先进水平同步。——《北京晚报》
